What do you need to upload along with your application?

When you apply for admission at a Master’s degree programme at Aarhus University, there are a number of different documents which you must upload along with your application. The documentation must show that you have completed your degree programme and any other qualifying activities.

Bachelor's degree programme at AU – with legal right of admission

You MUST:

  • obtain a transcript of records via the digital application system in connection with the application.

If relevant in relation to your situation, you must:

  • upload documentation of a grade of pass or expected pass for a Danish or foreign Master’s degree programme before commencement of studies (cf. the Master's degree rule).
  • upload documentation of passed courses taken on previous non-completed Danish Master's degree programmes with a view to mandatory credit transfer assessment.    

Bachelor's degree programme at AU – without legal right of admission

You MUST:

  • obtain a transcript of records via the digital application system in connection with the application.
  • upload documentation that you meet the language requirements of the degree programme.  If you cannot upload documentation of your English or Danish proficiency at the time of application, you must upload documentation that you are registered for a test or an explanation of when you expect to be able to take a test and upload the result. Read more about the language requirement under the admission requirements for the programme in question at masters.au.dk.

If relevant in relation to your situation, you must upload:

  • documentation of courses you are currently taking if you have not yet completed your degree programme at the time of application.
  • documentation of study abroad.
  • documentation for supplementary courses you have passed or for which you are registered.
  • documentation of a grade of pass or expected pass for a Danish or foreign Master’s degree programme before commencement of studies (cf. the Master's degree rule).
  • documentation of passed courses taken on previous non-completed Danish Master's degree programmes with a view to  mandatory credit transfer assessment.
  • degree programme-specific documentationSee the admission requirements for the degree programme in question at masters.au.dk.
  • If you apply to the psychology degree programme without a legal right of admission, you must also upload a completed equivalence form, which is available here (only in Danish).

Bachelor's degree from another Danish university

You MUST:

  • obtain a transcript of records via the digital application system in connection with the application.
  • upload course descriptions for all courses you have passed or are currently taking. You do not need to upload course descriptions if your previously completed degree programme is listed as qualifying under the admission requirements for the programme in question.
  • upload documentation that you meet the language requirements of the degree programme.  If you cannot upload documentation of your English or Danish proficiency at the time of application, you must upload documentation that you are registered for a test or an explanation of when you expect to be able to take a test and upload the result. Professional bachelor's degree from a Danish educational institution

You MUST upload:

  • your diploma, including course titles and grades, or
  • official transcript of records, including course titles and grades, as well as documentation of courses you are currently taking, if you have not completed your degree programme at the time of application.
  • course descriptions for all courses you have passed or are currently taking. You do not need to upload course descriptions if your previously completed degree programme is listed as qualifying under the admission requirements for the programme in question.
  • documentation that you meet the language requirements of the degree programme.  If you cannot upload documentation of your English or Danish proficiency at the time of application, you must upload documentation that you are registered for a test or an explanation of when you expect to be able to take a test and upload the result. Degree from a foreign educational institution

You MUST upload:

  • documentation for paid application fees or a valid applicable residence permit if you are a non-EU/EEA citizen. See more on this website.
  • your diploma, including course titles and grades, or
  • an official transcript of records, including course titles and grades, as well as documentation of courses you are currently taking, if you have not completed your degree programme at the time of application.
  • upload an official description of the grading scale at your foreign university.
  • course descriptions for all courses you have passed or are currently taking.
  • documentation that you meet the language requirements of the degree programme.   If you cannot upload documentation of your English or Danish proficiency at the time of application, you must upload documentation that you are registered for a test or an explanation of when you expect to be able to take a test and upload the result.
